Employability Skills

Employability Skills

As well as learning facts and figures to help earn their qualifications, we are aware that school plays an important role in supporting our students to develop the skills they will need in life and that will equip them for the world of work.

We particularly stress the importance of:

  • Teamwork
  • Communication
  • Punctuality
  • Problem Solving
  • Leadership

We teach these skills specifically within PSHE lessons and they are woven throughout all aspects of school life. For example students are encouraged to develop these skills such as presenting in an English class or delivering a monologue in Drama, participating in team sports and Form and House competitions. We also stress the importance of being on time for school every day, having all equipment necessary for lessons.
