At Coleridge Community College, we are an ambitious and proud school community. Our aim is to provide an excellent academic and enriched curriculum, in a calm, productive and disruption-free environment that enables every child to be known and to succeed.
By choosing Coleridge, you are choosing a school committed to bringing out the best in everyone. We are unapologetically ambitious for every child; continuous improvement is at the heart of all we do and across our school we strive to be better today than yesterday.
As staff, we believe in powerful knowledge and that our most important purpose is to teach young people things they would not learn outside school, which free them to think and act more powerfully in their lives. But we also know there is more to education than getting good grades. That is why alongside a robust, traditional curriculum, we pride ourselves on delivering an ‘Education with Character’ – one that challenges, inspires and excites students and prepares them for life in the modern world.
In order to achieve the best in everyone, we expect the best from everyone, all of the time. No matter their starting point, we know that every young person can achieve highly and it is our role as staff to remove any barriers to learning. This means we set high expectations, whether in our manners, our actions, our uniform or our determination. We are relentless in our pursuit of the small things that we know have a big impact on our school culture and students’ ability to learn and lead.
As a close-knit community, we very much value the strength of our relationships across our school and the support we can offer one another. All our students are known as individuals and we strive to ensure they all have the tools, guidance and encouragement to excel. This extends to our work with families; our partnership with parents and carers is incredibly important to us, and we work hard to ensure that communication is open and positive so that we are united in our approach.
We hope that this website gives you a sense of our school community, but the best way to learn more is to speak to us directly or arrange a visit. We look forward to welcoming you.
